The RESIDE project research team includes academics from universities in Northern Ireland, Scotland and the Republic of Ireland. The project advisory group consists of young people, parents, charities and teachers from across the United Kingdom.

Prof Mark Linden
Professor Mark Linden is Director of Research in the School of Nursing and Midwifery at Queen’s University Belfast. Mark has worked in the area of disability research for over 18 years.
Prof Michael Brown
Professor Michael Brown is Professor of Nursing and Director of Graduate Studies in the School of Nursing and Midwifery at Queen’s University Belfast.
Dr Lynne Marsh
Dr Lynne Marsh is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Nursing and Midwifery at Queen’s University Belfast.
Dr Maria Truesdale
Dr Maria Truesdale is a Senior Lecturer in intellectual disabilities at the Scottish Learning Disability Observatory, University of Glasgow.
Prof Fintan Sheerin
Professor Fintan Sheerin is Professor of Nursing in the School of Nursing at Maynooth University. Fintan was previously an Associate Professor in intellectual disability nursing at Trinity College Dublin.
Dr Freda McCormick
Dr Freda McCormick is a Research Fellow in the School of Nursing and Midwifery at Queen’s University Belfast. Freda has a range of research interests, which include intellectual disability.
